The inaugural meeting of kingfisher new look in order to inject
new blood in to kingfisher's activities it was felt necessary to come together and discuss the way forward. To this
end a meeting was convened and held at kingfisher's headquarters at Kotu. n 30 July 2010.
present were :

3) Andrea Slotter
4) kebba Njie
5) kebba Bojang
6) Muhammad Krubally
The meeting opened with prayer for God's guidance.
In his opening address, the acting chairperson Mr Saine welcomed all the members and thanked them for coming. He
reminded the members that as far as activities are concern, kingfisher has been a bit dormant. He attributed that
state of affairs to lack of communications.
He however emphasized that he has a lot of fate in the membership and trust that there is capacity to make things
happened.
He then invited the members of the committee to come up with proposals for the formulation of strategies and
priorities.
During the meeting, it was agreed that there should be a meeting once a month. The meeting should be held on the
last Sunday of every month the target it was agreed must be visually impaired person at schools, workplace and
homes.The meeting pointed at that before extending a helping hand to any one, person in question must be assessed
to find out what the individual is interested in. Among other approaches, sensitization and out reach programmes
were endorsed as tools that kingfisher can use as tools to achieved its objectives.
Decisions taken by a Quorum are binding, the meeting agreed. punctuality should be respected task giving to
individuals should be carried out immediately whenever any person faces an obstacle while carrying out a task given
to him, the person without any hesitation should contact the rest of the committee members to inform them about the
state of affairs.
Meeting agendas should be made known to members at least two weeks before the meeting takes place. The secretary is
giving the responsibility to communicate agendas to members before the meeting takes place.
